Questions we hear every day
How much does it cost to hire you?
Your consultation is free. We work on a contingency fee, so you pay no attorney’s fee unless we recover money for you.
How long do I have to file a claim in Georgia or South Carolina?
Generally two years in Georgia and three years in South Carolina for personal injury, but claims against government entities can have much shorter notice deadlines. Call early so no deadline is missed.
What if I was partly at fault?
You may still recover. Georgia bars recovery at 50% fault or more; South Carolina only above 50%. Your compensation is reduced by your share of fault.
What if the other driver has no insurance?
Your own uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) coverage may pay. We review your policy and handle that claim for you.
Should I talk to the other driver’s insurance adjuster?
Not before speaking with a lawyer. Recorded statements are often used to reduce or deny claims.
Do I need a lawyer for a minor car accident?
Not always. If no one was hurt and the damage is small, you may be able to handle the claim yourself. But injuries like whiplash or a concussion often show up hours or days later, and insurers may offer a quick, low settlement before you know the full cost. A free case review can help you decide, with no cost or obligation.
Do I need a police report after a wreck?
In most cases, yes. Georgia and South Carolina both require you to report wrecks involving injuries or significant property damage, and the police report is one of the most important pieces of evidence in your claim. If police didn’t come to the scene, call us and we’ll help you with the next step.
Know the playbook
The insurance system is built to pay you less
Insurance companies have teams protecting their bottom line. Here’s what they do, and why you need someone in your corner.
1
The friendly first call
The adjuster calls fast and sounds caring, but they’re recording you and looking for words to use against your claim.
2
Downplaying your injuries
They question your treatment, say you waited too long to see a doctor, or blame a “pre-existing condition.”
3
The quick lowball offer
A fast check before you know the full cost of your medical care, lost wages and future treatment.
4
Delay and deny
Endless requests for paperwork and slow responses, hoping you get frustrated and give up.
Insurance already called you? Call us first.
Adjusters may sound friendly, but a quick offer is often a lowball offer. Don’t give a recorded statement or accept anything until you know your rights. Talk to us free, 24/7.
